Dear Backers,

The Backerkit surveys have now been sent to everyone. You should expect to receive these in the next few minutes. Make sure you check your junk mail boxes if you cannot locate the email.

Important Reminder!

When you access BackerKit for the first time you will be required to enter your country. 

If you wish to collect your pledge from The Ludoquist for free you must select Antarctica as your country. 

This is to ensure that you won't pay for shipping as all orders completed this way will be sent to The Ludoquist during fulfillment, however you will still be able to enter your actual address for verification purposes.

Make sure to add to your order any additional add on's you wish to purchase and complete your order. Cards will be charged at a later date when the Backerkit survey has been closed. We will be closing the survey in 2 weeks. So you have until the 10th of September 2018 to finalise your order. Quantities of items will be ordered very shortly after the 10th so if you do not complete your order by this point we cannot guarantee that the add on you would like to add will be available.

Backer Survey and Fulfilment Update

The Backer Survey is coming...

Since the completion of the campaign we have been working on the Backer Survey which will allow backers to confirm their choices for any add-ons they have pledged for, select add-ons for your pledge as well as confirm your postage details and pay for postage. You will be able to change your shipping address before our shipping date should you need to.

We are using a site called BackerKit to manage our survey and your orders and being our first time using it, we have had to set it up to suit our project and our backers. We will be sending out the Backerkit invites to you soon to complete your orders! 

Local Pledge Collection in Croydon!

We were privileged enough to have the support of our friends, family and local gamers who helped make Robot Royale a reality. We have looked into the viability of a local pick-up option to save you postage costs and we are delighted to announce that we have partnered with The Ludoquist in Croydon to offer this service.You will be able to select this as an option in BackerKit.

Final Product Reveals

Throughout the duration of the Backer Survey we will be updating you with finalised versions of the game components as they go to print. This will include the box, rules booklet, tiles and tokens.

Final Funding Total, Next Steps and Future Expansion?

Final Funding Total

Our campaign has now ended with a total of 156 backers pledging £5,655 to make our project possible! Thank you to everyone who backed Robot Royale, shared our project or supported us in any way! A special shout out to our Champion backer Noah and to Andrew, Greg, James and another currently unnamed Star Player! 

We reached our social stretch goal of 1000 fans on social media to unlock a Print and Play copy of Robot Royale and desktop background so you can play the game before it ships! We will be releasing these in a Backer Only update. 

Next Steps

We will soon be sending out a backer survey to allow you to choose any add-ons you want for your pledge as well as pay for shipping. We will also be confirming the final contents of the boxed game including improved designs.

We will of course keep you updated with developments when production begins, and we will be rewarding our backers with first-look previews of our upcoming projects!

Future Expansion?

We know the Expansion stretch goal was one that many backers wanted us to reach and it is still a product that we want to create. It provides even more depth to the gameplay of Robot Royale and allows for more players which means more fun! We will be reviewing the viability of an expansion following the fulfillment of Robot Royale, so watch this space.

Funding Goal Reached

With as much suspense as a game of Robot Royale, but here everyone's a winner!

We've reached our goal of £5,000 and we're not stopping there! Thank you to everyone who has supported our project so far, we appreciate everything you've done to spread the word of our first board game project.

We only need a couple more likes and follows on Facebook and Twitter to unlock the digital goodies including a print and play copy of Robot Royale for backers, so share our page with others for your reward.

We only have a few Painted Player pledges left so if you were considering upgrading then do so now! You can of course upgrade any pledge to include our 3D Deluxe Board.

Last night I played Robot Royale with fellow board gamers at Warboar Games/Paradice Board Game Cafe and streamed it on Facebook Live! We were playing with the new 3D Deluxe Board which we made available as an add-on to your pledges last week. It worked excellently and we all enjoyed ourselves! 48 Hours Remaining

Okay, that's a lie. It's less than 48! However, we are making great progress and we're 90% funded which means this is the final push. If you haven't yet backed for a copy of the game please do so before Thursday, we don't want you to miss out! If you have already backed then thank you, we greatly appreciate your support and please consider upgrading your pledge to include the 3D Deluxe Board or for an additional set of hand painted miniatures!
