Production Update - We are nearly there!

Dear Backers,

It has been a while since our last update, and while we have been quiet, we have been working hard behind the scenes to push ahead the completion of this project. 

Cardboard Tiles and Tokens are here!

We are excited to show off the final element for the finished game.

(Robot miniatures are some of the earlier prototypes we had to hand, so the colours will vary)

The biggest issue we faced was finding a new supplier for our Cardboard elements. Well just today we received the initial run of these items.  We are pleased to show them off and they look great in person. The actual production of these was relatively quick, and we have been informed it will be a similar turnaround for the full production run. So we aim to have all the elements in the next few weeks. Which means shipping the game out to you will shortly follow.

Upcoming Events

We are returning to some of our favourite events this year and would love to meet as many of you as possible. Stop by the East Street Games stand and challenge us to a game of Robot Royale, pick Paul's brain about his design process or try out our upcoming games such as 'Mob Sitters'.

We at East Street Games, thank you for your patience with the project. Being out first fully fledged board game to go into production there has been quite a few lessons learnt and we will take all of these on board in future projects, hopefully making for a smoother overall process.

Project Update and Delays

Fulfillment Delay

Robot Royale is still in production, however, we were not able to meet our initial target of a November fulfillment and we apologise for this.

We are working hard to keep the delays to a minimum, however we are now looking to fulfill pledges Q1 2019. We understand your disappointment and we hope the game will be very much worth the wait.

Production Summary:

• The Robot miniatures are now finished and packaged, ready to go into the final boxes.
• The Instructions are nearly ready to be sent to the printers.
• The cardboard components are the biggest reason for the delay and we have been told these will be scheduled for completion early 2019. Our previous manufacturer informed us they could not keep our original agreement, so we had to look elsewhere. Because of this delay we are now waiting on a slot with our current manufacturers to be able to complete these components.
• The MDF Kits are now complete and at our packing facility ready for when the game is finished.

Production Update and Spiel 2018

Spiel 2018

We have just got back from a fantastic week exhibiting our games at Spiel 2018 in Germany! We had a load of great feedback on our upcoming Mob Sitters game we recently showed off on the previous update. Mob Sitters is very much in the pipeline for release next year.

Robot Royale Production Update!

Not long after our return from Germany, we have been greeted by the delivery of the boxes for Robot Royale! They look fantastic in person and we can't wait to have these in your hands and in stores soon after! 

The boxes are slightly smaller than we originally showed off in the mockup. We found this helps to make the game more portable and easier to carry around with you and play almost anywhere!

The Robot Miniatures are currently halfway through production and estimated to be completed very soon! This production facility is on site with the fulfillment, so there will be no delays in delivery.

The tiles and tokens are the next priority. Due to the rising costs in printing and materials we have had to source our production elsewhere (still UK based however).So we are now dealing with 2 manufacturers in regards to the tiles and tokens to get these produced very soon.

We will keep you informed on any more updates over the coming weeks regarding production and when fulfillment will finally begin!

We are attending Tabletop Gaming Live! this weekend at Alexandra Palace (Stand G107, make sure to visit us if you’re attending!) and alongside demonstrating Robot Royale we will be officially revealing our next game to be released to the public!

As backers of our first board game we are very grateful for your support and so we are going to give you a first look at our next project before the general public. Exciting!

Announcing; Mob Sitters!

Mob Sitters is, honestly, the most fun game to try and describe. It is a darkly funny game for 3-8 people where each player is a babysitter tasked with looking after the children of notable Mafia bosses. Desperate to earn some real cash you can perform odd (possibly illegal) jobs for the Mob or attempt to steal items from their homes. Both are equally risky and that is where the other players come in!

In Mob Sitters each card represents a monetary value earned by performing either of these tasks or an action that you can take to sabotage others’ attempts to earn. As the game progresses each player gains a stack of earned money and stacks of money that others have sabotaged. Those with the most money that they have failed to earn meet an unfortunate end, either locked up by the police for aiding the mob or worse, caught stealing by the Mafia and disposed of! The winner is the remaining player with the most earned money, and the others are lucky not to have been caught!

It is a hilarious game that leads to a lot of finger pointing and not a lot of trust! Expect to see a lot more of Mob Sitters this year; we will be demoing not only at TTG Live but also at SPIEL in October and UnCon in November. Mob Sitters will be launching on Kickstarter next year!

The closing date for the Backerkit pledge manager is 10th of September! 

You only have 5 days to complete your orders !!

We are very close to closing the BackerKit and locking in orders.  

Over 70% of you have completed your order and that is great but there are still some of you that still need to finish off your orders. If you do not complete your order in time, it might cause a delay in processing your pledge and a possible risk that we cannot fulfill any of the add on's that you require so please complete these as soon as possible.

Remember that if you wish to pick up your pledge from The Ludoquist in Croydon, Surrey, you will need to select Antarctica as your region/country on the initial splash screen to enable your order to be sent there and not be charged any additional amount for shipping.
